Format
The games were run using the Bristol Countdown Society method - i.e. all players have the same letters/numbers but they play against each other in pairs.
The main event was a 5 round Swiss tournament - everyone plays in each round, and each person plays an opponent who is on the same score as nearly as possible. The top players were seeded. All games were 9 round games (LLLNLLLNC).
For the letters games, choice went from player to player and as there were 30 letters games in total each player chose letters once or twice.
For the numbers games the choice was predetermined. As 1 large is the most popular this was used on alternate games and the other choices went in a cycle. Therefore the sequence was 1012131410.
For the conundrum players had to tap the table and then write down the answer. The opponent also wrote down the answer if they solved it later, in case the other answer was wrong. Second conundrums did not have to be used in any of the games.
Aggregate score was used as a tie-break at the end of the competition.
